MISSION
Art Direct and design experiences for
Connections and TrailheaDX 2019's conferences and events.
While creating must-attend events for Salesforce we had to maintain
brand focus and customer engagement to redefine previous event experiences.
Attendees should learn about the latest innovations in
digital marketing, commerce, service, and more to personalize
every interaction to drive business transformation.
Keeping with the Salesforce National Park brand focus
and combining it with the location of the event in the Great Lakes area
we presented a few nautical, mixed material design solutions
for the big welcome to the event.
The Customer Success Platform is an attendee's physical starting point at Connections,
providing education, inspiration, and navigation on how to connect customer experiences and teams
through a single Salesforce CRM platform to drive greater business success.
Upon entering the showfloor, attendees engage with a conjoined welcome center and CSP experience.
A lighthouse is a beacon, illuminating a clear path for customers to navigate solutions for industries within the product mix.
A window gallery looks looks out over the showfloor toward three industry islands.
Each window is an interactive digital touch screen that tells a story. From the perspective of the lighthouse,
clearly visible bridges connect all three industry islands, offering solutions to navigate between each.
The traditional architecture style of lighthouses in the Great Lakes region combine both the tower
and light station into one structure. Other key design features of a lighthouse include the lantern, prism, gallery deck and watch room.
The perimeter of the lighthouse viewing platform is lined with digital viewfinders.
The viewfinders are facing outward toward the landscape of the three industry islands. As the user orients the angle of the viewfinder in the direction of each industry island,
the associated products become magnified. This experience provides attendees a clear view of the products needed to confidently navigate their journey.
Set on the edge of the lake shoreline, the Salesforce Lookout Tower acts as a guiding beacon
and Welcome Center for an encompassing Customer Success Platform, where attendees can get guidance, advice and learn how to navigate the “Park”.
Large screens serve as a welcome sign that can share agenda changes and schedule options of the event.
Twelve picnic tables signifying the products highlighted in the CSP are fitted with large interactive screens
to educate the attendees about current or future features of Salesforce’s products.
At the base of the tower, attendees are welcomed by knowledgeable Lookout Station Rangers, briefly introducing them
to the events experience and facilitating navigation throughout the area and event. An interactive map/compass is used
to allow attendees to self navigate on the spot or downloading a navigation app for the event.
The tower is treated as a visual icon of having the advantage of a better perspective and serves as a preview to the gallery of the industry’s customer success stories.
Maintaining a nautical theme to make the connection with the lake-life theme,
we drew inspiration from buoys, piers, natural and beach park signs.
